WHO WE ARE

The creation, progress, and potential of Anemaw Alemu Trading is an interesting story - we are a company like no other. Our strategic approach to everything “Always Looking Ahead” is an admission to the fact that we can afford being stagnant. Looking to engage employees on a deeper level to create internal engagement and attract prospective customers through a formalized approach, the founder of our company decided to commission the making of this document. We, as an exponentially growing and soon-to-be prominent name in the industry, the trading company is now ready to share its story through a renewed spirit of purpose.

MEET OUR FOUNDER

Anemaw Alemu's journey is one of ambition and strategic growth. Following his family’s footsteps, he sought to apply his skills where they mattered most. Thirteen years ago, with assets worth half a million ETB, he secured a 3-million-ETB bank loan, launching Anemaw Alemu Trading with a capital of 3.5 million ETB. Initially focused on export, construction materials rental, and logistics, the company rapidly expanded into complementary industries. His vision for strategic growth and knowledge-driven decision-making became the foundation of the company's success. Today, Anemaw Alemu Trading is valued at 4 billion ETB and continues to grow at an impressive pace.

SCOPE OF WORK

LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT

It's where the moving parts are so many and it requires us to increase our distribution networks. We operate with 50 trucks in which 20 have trailers attached with them. We use them to operate on dry and liquid (fuel) cargo.

IMPORT

We aim to reduce reliance on foreign involvement while ensuring that an Ethiopian-owned company handles these essential operations. That’s why we focus on key imports, including cargo trucks, dump trucks, excavators, hydraulic hammers, shower trucks, loaders, mixers, tires, raw materials, electric cables,

PHARMACEUTICALS AND MEDICAL EQUIPMENTS

Founded in 2017, Anemaw Pharmaceuticals and Medical Equipment is a trusted distributor with an experienced team. We import and supply pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, nutraceuticals, and lab reagents through a global network of 20+ suppliers.

AGRICULTURE

Launched in 2020, Anemaw Agriculture aims to lead in food processing and commodities trading. Based in the Amhara region, we cultivate soybeans, rice, sesame, and various vegetables on 1,000+ hectares for local and international markets.

CONCRETE POLE MANUFACTURING

We are launching a Concrete Pole Manufacturing Plant in Kombolcha, producing durable foundations for wireless communication, street lighting, and electrical infrastructure, including pull boxes, conduits, and service connections.

EXPORT

This is the core of our operations, showcasing Ethiopia on the global stage. We specialize in exporting oilseeds like sesame, soy, niger, and castor oil, along with pulses such as kidney beans, green mung beans,chickpeas, and coffee.

MINING

is an underdog from all scope of work and it is reasonably so as the industry is not as massive or extensive in Ethiopia. Yet, we are working hard to be at the forefront of the nation’s channel to the world through our gold mining site in Dima province, Gambella as well as our coal mining site in Tolay.

PALM AND SEED OIL

With a focus on being the direct agent of which finished proudcts are traded, we also have a Palm and Seed Oil Trading outpost in Gelan, Humera, and Metema.

TEXTILE AND GARMENT

Lastly, a future prospect of ours, is Textile and Garment Manufacturing, where the project is set to start production within a year, with construction ongoing in the city of Dukem.

MINING

We are working hard to be at the forefront of the nation’s channel to the world through our gold mining site in Dima province, Gambella as well as our coal mining site in Tolay.
